This new report from Public Policy Projects discusses how digital technology creates the opportunity to reshape healthcare, and the frustration that the NHS has been slow to apply digital technology to its core objective of targeting resources it needs.
Tunstall, working with Public Policy Projects, has developed a unique report which explores how technology enabled care services (TECS) can be used for the benefit of patients, service users, carers and the health and care sector. It outlines many of the barriers to uptake of TECS in the UK and makes recommendations on actions that could be taken to accelerate the adoption of TECS more widely.
This new report contains the findings and recommendations from a 12-week programme of outreach by the TSA to the TEC sector, where 92% of all alarm services were contacted with offers of support and guidance. This programme was sponsored by the Department of Health & Social Care.
This new report shows how advanced use of telecare is helping older people stay independent at home for longer – supporting them to feel safer and more self-sufficient, delaying a move to a care home and helping local authorities free up millions in social care funding.
Tunstall supported national learning disabilities charity Hft with the creation of an in-depth report setting out the case for a deal for the learning disability sector, focusing on realising the potential of technology to boost investment and transform the way care is delivered.
