Telecare Solutions

Telecare solutions

Tunstall has pioneered community alarms and telecare, creating technology solutions that help older people and those with long term needs to live more independently, and with an improved quality of life.

Our solutions give peace of mind to users, carers and family members by giving support 24 hours a day, at the press of a pendant alarm button.

Telecare personal alarm services ensure fast access to help in the event of a crisis such as a fall; whether from friends, family, a specialist monitoring centre or the emergency services.

How it works

Tunstall’s Connected Care services combine a central Lifeline home alarm unit with a range of unobtrusive sensors, which detect events such as smoke, gas or a person falling, with a 24-hour response centre.

Should a sensor be activated, either automatically or by the user, an alert will be immediately received at the monitoring centre, where the operator can ensure appropriate help is sent.

This rapid response minimises the consequences of events and provides reassurance to users and their family members that risks are being managed effectively. This enables people to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.

Connected Care provides efficient, long term support, giving a platform for the right amount of care to be delivered at the right time, and connects stakeholders to enable integrated care. Systems can also be configured to monitor changes in daily activity over time, aiding effective care planning and highlighting any deterioration in wellbeing at an early stage.
