Purpose
A Digital Noticeboard is a modern communication hub that keeps residents informed and engaged by displaying important updates, local news, events, and weather on a large screen in communal areas. With remote access via smartphones or tablets (no app required) it promotes social inclusion, encourages participation in community activities, and strengthens the connection between residents and their housing provider.
How
The Digital Noticeboard consists of a 43” wall-mounted monitor, powered by a compact NB Player (a small internet-connected device) discreetly installed behind the screen.
Staff can easily create and manage bespoke content through a secure, user-friendly web portal. This content is then delivered to the monitor via the NB Player using a simple HDMI connection.
The system combines housing provider updates with real-time feeds from trusted sources like BBC News, providing residents with a rich, engaging mix of local and national information. Each Noticeboard can display up to 20 slides—10 tailored to the specific site and 10 organisation-wide—ensuring relevant and timely communication across all levels.
