The Nexa Smart Plug allows Lifeline Digital to remotely control power to designated devices within a service user’s home. This innovative technology enhances communication between residents and Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operators while providing additional support through automated lighting control.

How

How does it work?

The Nexa Smart Plug is triggered by an alarm button press on the Lifeline system, a pendant, or a compatible telecare sensor like the Universal Sensor combined with a Chair or Bed Occupancy Sensor. It seamlessly integrates with Tunstall’s Device Management Platform (DMP), allowing for quick configuration to activate or deactivate power to connected appliances when an alarm is raised.

Television / Radio turn off

The Nexa Smart Plug offers practical applications like automatically removing power from electrical sockets to support service users during critical moments, such as temporarily turning off a television during an alarm call. This feature is triggered by a simple button press on the Lifeline Hub or Pendant, ensuring seamless control and enhancing user safety and comfort.

Automatic Lighting

Another key use case of the Nexa Smart Plug is the automatic restoration of power to an electrical socket to support service users, such as turning on a bedside lamp upon getting out of bed. This functionality is triggered by the Universal Sensor combined with a Bed or Chair Occupancy Sensor, providing intuitive and automatic lighting control to enhance user mobility and safety within the home.
