Leading technology-enabled care provider Tunstall Healthcare has announced the appointment of Shantelle Million-Lawson as the new Head of Tunstall 365 – the latest B2C proposition set to be launched by the brand.

Her appointment comes as the organisation continues its next phase of growth and transformation under the leadership of UK Managing Director, Mark Hindle, with a renewed focus on connected, outcomes-led services and innovation across health, housing and social care.

In her new role, Shantelle will lead the development and expansion of Tunstall’s direct-to-consumer strategy, named Tunstall 365, helping to shape services that better connect health technology, social care and housing to improve outcomes for individuals and communities.

Shantelle joins the health tech giant with extensive experience spanning frontline care, digital transformation, operational leadership and national policy. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at the Technology Enabled Care Services Association (TSA), where she led membership services, sector engagement, events and national collaboration across the technology-enabled care landscape.

Prior to this, she held a leadership role within the Department of Health & Social Care’s Digitising Social Care programme, where she led the Adult Social Care Technology fund and helped shape the future direction of adult social care technology policy.

Her career also includes digital transformation within national care provider HC-One during the pandemic and founding a digital care records platform. All of this experience is founded on frontline experience as a Care Assistant and Care Team Manager within the private and public sector.

Commenting on her appointment, Shantelle said: “Throughout my career, whether working as a Care Assistant, founding a care technology business or helping shape national policy, my focus has always been on improving outcomes for people and those that support them.

“Tunstall founded our sector, its innovation and technologies created this small but incredible industry where excellent care can meet innovative technology to enable people to live safely. The organisation has a rich and proud history and is now entering an exciting new chapter with a strong focus on people, innovation and delivering better outcomes.

“Our industry has been talking about the need for interoperability and connected care for a very long time. When our industry fails to collaborate and integrate, the individual we are all here for feels the impact. Tunstall is actively and consciously breaking down barriers to enable accessibility to technologies we know can save lives.”

Mark Hindle added: “We’re building Tunstall 365 around a simple idea – that people should be able to access trusted support, technology and reassurance much more easily, wherever they live and whatever stage of life they’re at.

“Shantelle is an incredible appointment for Tunstall and for the wider sector, she brings a rare combination of frontline experience, operational leadership, policy insight and genuine passion for improving outcomes. She understands both the challenges people face day to day and the opportunity we now have to use technology differently – in a more connected, preventative and human way.

“Her appointment is another important step as we continue to modernise Tunstall and expand the role we can play directly with individuals, families and communities. In football terms, this feels a bit like the signing of the season.”
