Will McKelvie, Director at Quantum Coaching and Consultancy, tells us about his work with Tunstall in designing and delivering the Academy’s Rising Stars programme.

As a market leader in technology enabled care, Tunstall recognises its responsibility not just to invest in the progress of the sector as a whole, but also to make a positive contribution to the organisations it works with. The Tunstall Academy was created specifically for health, housing and social care professionals, helping them to enhance their skill sets with a range of training and development options. Will McKelvie, Director at Quantum Coaching and Consultancy, tells us about his work with Tunstall in designing and delivering the Academy’s Rising Stars programme.
Rising Stars is an online course which aims to build the confidence and abilities of sector professionals, with a particular focus on presentation skills, effective meetings and conflict resolution. The programme consists of three modules which we deliver in a blended learning format through distance learning, coached assignments and webinars which are presented virtually. There was no charge for the course, but attendees were selected following an application process, and needed to be willing to commit their time to be able to complete the course. Our goal is to help participants to engage effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders in order to influence the way services they work in are delivered in the future.
I have more than 20 years’ experience in delivering leadership training and coaching within the Pharmaceutical and Med Tech industry, so I was delighted to be able to work with Tunstall to design and deliver the Rising Stars course. It’s been really rewarding to see the engagement participants have shown for the programme; attendees have demonstrated a high level of commitment, and their enthusiasm for learning has been inspiring.
Rising Stars offers professionals in the health, housing and care sectors the opportunity to learn from each other, make new connections and come away with increased confidence on how to be impactful in their role.
Each session takes place in an interactive, experiential learning environment where participants explore theory, thought, and practical applications. Once each module has been completed, a group coaching webinar is held with everyone to consolidate what has been taught so far and support relationship building.
Participants are invited to take a survey following completion of the course, and feedback so far has been extremely positive:
