Our latest-generation digital home hub connects people to help when they need it, supporting independence at home through secure communication, reliable connectivity and personalised telecare.
Overview
Lifeline Digital Core is the next evolution of Lifeline Digital, designed around the needs of today’s connected care services.
Combining Ethernet and 4G/VoLTE connectivity with enhanced wireless performance and increased processing capability, it provides a secure foundation for digital alarm communication.
Built around modern digital technologies, Lifeline Digital Core helps providers move away from legacy analogue and 2G/3G systems, while preparing for the next generation of connected care and activity insights services.
Support
Lifeline Digital Core supports people with long-term care or health needs who want to remain independent at home and connected to their communities.
Easy to use and discreet, it works with compatible wearables and sensors to create support tailored to each individual’s needs.
For housing providers, local authorities and telecare services, it offers a practical way to standardise on secure digital technology, with straightforward installation and device management.
How
When someone needs help, they can raise an alarm using the button on their home hub or a compatible pendant. Connected sensors can also raise alerts automatically when they detect an event requiring support.
Lifeline Digital Core sends the alert to the configured monitoring service, enabling an operator to assess the situation and arrange the appropriate response. Clear two-way speech helps the individual and operator communicate during the call.
Ethernet provides the primary communication pathway, with built-in 4G/VoLTE supporting a secondary route. No analogue telephone line is required.
Benefits
An advanced speaker enclosure and digital audio processing deliver clear, high-volume speech with echo cancellation, helping individuals and monitoring centre operators hear one another.
Encrypted communication with compatible two-way peripherals and compliance with EN18031 cybersecurity standards help protect the connection between people, devices and services.
Ethernet and 4G/VoLTE support dependable alarm and voice communication, without reliance on legacy 2G/3G networks. An improved internal antenna enhances cellular reception.
Connect up to 40 compatible sensors and accessories to build a telecare package around individual needs, with scope to adapt support as those needs change.
Up to 72 hours of battery backup helps maintain the hub’s operation during a mains power outage, subject to settings, usage and network availability.
The Tunstall+ app provides step-by-step guidance for installation and configuration. Integration with our Device Management Platform (DMP) supports ongoing device management.
Increased processing capability and modern wireless connectivity provide a foundation for future connected care applications, including the next generation of activity insights services.
