Corporate Social Responsibility is essentially about how Tunstall takes account of the economic, social and environmental impact of the way it operates - maximising the benefits and minimising the downsides.

Environment

Tunstall will adopt where reasonably practicable, procedures and processes to control core business activities to minimise its impact on the environment, including:

Complying with all relevant environmental legislation including Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations

  • Assessing the risks of business activities on the environment
  • Seeking to conserve natural resources
  • Aiming to improve energy efficiency through energy conservation techniques
  • Disposing of waste in a safe and responsible manner

Health and safety

Tunstall is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. We also fully accept our responsibilities for other persons who may be affected by our activities. Tunstall will take steps to ensure its statutory duties are met at all times.

Each employee will be given such information, instruction and training as is necessary to enable them to carry out their work safely. Tunstall management ensure that all processes and systems of work incorporate health and safety. Adequate facilities and arrangements will be maintained to enable employees and their representatives to raise issues of health and safety. Tunstall is proud of its low accident / incident rate and year-on-year will strive to improve this further.
